$15.00 Well Spent

Wow. We just got what was possibly the best food delivery bargain ever.

See, we had planned on ordering pizza tonight to eat while watching the KU game and I was just about to call and place the delivery order when I stumbled upon an article about how to save money. There was a link to the Entertainment Book company's website, and I clicked it, remembering the coupon books and the wondrous bargains within from my childhood. So, Mark and I bought an Entertainment Book online for $15.00 (the price gets discounted after April 1st) and it's being shipped to us for free. This was all happening as I held both my phone and the sub-par coupon we had planned on using. Obviously I got distracted and the pizza delivery order had been pushed to after the ordering of the coupon book. But wait!--you can use the website to print about a gazillion additional coupons. I found the place we were planning to order from and lo and behold there was a coupon for buy one get one free (up to a $17.00 value). We called, caused much confusion (what kind of coupon is it? what size pizza is the coupon for?), and placed our order for two large two-topping pizzas. I thought I had just misheard him when he said that the total was $11.33, but rather than causing any more of a ruckus and asking the price a third time, I decided to just wait and see when they brought the pizza. I was thinking that maybe despite my double-checking after the first mention of the price that they were indeed large pizzas they would maybe be mediums or even smalls. See, each large pizza was supposed to be $12.99 plus $1.75 for each topping. Here's what arrived: Two large two-topping pizzas. We still can't quite figure out the math.
