Things We Have Learned About Fidget:

1. She has zero interest whatsoever in any of the toys we bought for her. Zero interest. But the bendy straw, man oh man, does that get her riled up! The multi-straw contraption Mark made after we realized this: zero interest.

2. It is a good thing that we didn't waste our money on a cat bed. She spends 65% of her waking time on our laps, 25% trying to get on our laps, and the other 10% on a piece of pink tissue paper intended to be a toy. She really, really likes sitting on that tissue paper. And our laps. She is relentless. Mega-snuggle cat.

3. Putting a cone on her head so she won't scratch and bite at her incision site: impossible. That was traumatic for everyone involved. We gave up after five tries, an argument, and a yelping, wheezing, squeaking, panicked cat.

4. As much as she likes being on our laps ALL THE TIME, she has no interest in taking naps in bed with me. She's just not interested.

5. We're keeping her out of Mark's room so that there is one cat-free room for me to escape to when my allergies go nuts. But now that she has sneaked into Mark's room once, she now sits outside of his door and meows anytime we are in there...either that or she has magical powers that let her know when anyone is getting ready to come out--that she uses as her cue to come meow by the door.

6. Her old owners must have given her people food because anytime either of us in the kitchen, she is at our heels meowing and following us around.

7. She's not so good at taking a hint. The other day Mark was trying to stand up and he's still too scared of hurting her incision site to lift her up, so he just kind of started standing up and thought she would get up. She did not. She just let him stand up, she got dumped/rolled off of his lap and onto the couch, and she just landed where she rolled and didn't move a muscle.

those big green eyes look pretty innocent!! try a laser light toy, only $3-4! you will have 50% chance of success since 1 of our cats likes it and the other doesn't care!
