The Joyful Return of Food Pictures

It's been a few entries since I've had any pictures to post, but have no fear, food pictures are here!

Mark and I made dinner together tonight, and it turned out spectacularly, if I don't say so myself. We decided that the chicken and the skewered breaded mushrooms will definitely be on the menu of Lark, the restaurant we will one day open. Although Mark decided to inform me today that he doesn't think the name Lark is a good name for a restaurant after all! I felt so betrayed! (As you can tell, I'm goofy and at the height of my dorkiness after being sick and cooped up for 3 days.) For the record, I still think Lark is a perfect name for our restaurant. Anyway.....here was our dinner:The chicken is adapted from a recipe my mom mailed me a long time ago. Basically dipped in olive oil, then dredged in a breadcrumb/seasoning mixture. After that, we rolled it up and skewered it. We used some of the leftover breadcrumb mixture to coat some of the mushrooms...and let me just say....YUM. Seriously YUM. We also skewered some onions and made some potato wedges from an internet recipe. They were just okay.

While all of that was cooking, I used some leftover chocolate candy melts to make chocolate covered strawberries. How fancy! (I have a bit of a problem with buying produce and not eating it all before it goes bad. But cover it with chocolate and I'm guaranteed to eat it!)

And a close-up:
